"College Expo 2008 - Your Road to University"- Only One Week Away
~~Adz:Left~~ On Saturday January 5th, 2008, about twenty Kittitian student representatives from universities and colleges in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean will host the Second Annual “College Expo 2008- The Road to University”.
The event will include a symposium where attendees will have the opportunity to meet current university students, learn how to master the university application, get tips on choosing the right university for themselves and receive adequate literature about all of the universities and colleges that will be present.
Students hail from the University of the West Indies and University of the Virgin Islands here in the Caribbean; St. John's University, Bronx Community College, Baruch College, Long Island University, Stony Brook University, State University of New York- New Paltz and Columbia University out of New York; Devry University- New Brunswick campus in New Jersey, York University, St. Mary’s University and Trent University in Canada, Howard University out of Washington D.C., Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia; Florida Atlantic University and Florida Memorial University in Florida, Grambling State University out of Louisiana and Cameron University in Oklahoma.
This event will take place at the Basseterre High School Auditorium will begin promptly at 10AM. However, attendees are asked to be seated by 9:30AM.
The purpose of this symposium is to promote higher education among the young people of St. Kitts & Nevis and it is hoped that the youth will be begin to consider going to university seriously. This event will be made possible by Digicel Wireless Ventures.
