New Covenant Tabernacle - COGOP Health & Fitness Group Receives Cash Awards from Mr. Richards Caines
~~Adz:Left~~{Basseterre; St. Kitts} The Health & Fitness Group of the New Covenant Tabernacle – Church of God of Prophecy Women’s Ministries was the recipient of $2000.00 as cash prizes to four deserving ladies of the group who lost at least 20lbs each for the month of November, 2007.
The group headed by Women’s Ministries Director Lavern Dublin-Collins, was formed several months ago as an outreach ministry of this department. The women meet twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sessions are coordinated to energize and inspire women to desire and pursue spiritual and physical health in an exercise format.
Members of the Fitness Group were challenged by local businessman Mr. Richard Caines of CAINES AUTO SERVICES to loose 20lbs for the month of November and committed to award each successful woman with $500.00 each. Four women qualified and were thus awarded: namely Mrs. Lavern Dublin-Collins, Ms Danielle Morton, Mars Andrea Browne and Mrs. Althea Adams.
A formal handing over ceremony was held Thursday 20th December 2007. Mr. Caines made presentations to the deserving women and encouraged the group to continue to strive for excellence. Also in attendance were the group’s instructor, Deacon Winston Murraine and the local church pastor, Bishop Ron Dublin-Collins. The members of the Health & Fitness Group showered gifts of Appreciation on Deacon Murraine for his untiring efforts and service to the group.
