Basseterre, St. Kitts (October 15, 2004): With hundred’s of Labour Party supporters in attendance, Earl Asim Martin was introduced and welcomed as the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Representative for Constituency # 1, at a Baker’s Corner meeting last night.
Minister Martin came in for much praise from last night’s speaker’s, who among his many accolades, made note of the measures which were taken to improve the lot of the residents of his constituency.
Dispersed between chants of "All Eight," Labour Party Candidates including Honourable Cedric Liburd, Honourable Jacinth Henry-Martin and Honourable Dwyer Astaphan spoke of the virtues of Minister Martin and the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party. Additionally, Ricky Skerrit who specifically addressed the hard work that went into laying the ground work toward the bid for and the eventual hosting of World Cup Cricket, vouched for Minister Martin’s ability as a candidate.
The evening ended with much music and chanting heralding the return of Earl Asim Martin as a Labour Party candidate for the St. Kitts-Nevis Federal Elections to be held October 25, 2004. |
