                                               Boswell Mills Drowns at South Friars Bay

    ~~Adz:Left~~ On January 4th 2008 at about 2:15 pm, Police responded to a report at South Friars Bay where they met 33yrs old Boswell Mills of Buttlers Nevis been assisted by Tourists. 
     
    Investigations reveal that Mills was attempting to retrieve a floatation device that was drifting away from a child, and had swum about 25 to 30 yds out to sea when he encountered difficulties and began to sink. 
     
    The tourists who were on the beach noticed he was in trouble and went to his assistance and brought him back to shore.  They, along with the Police attempted CPR and mouth to mouth resuscitation, but Mills did not respond to any of these efforts.  The EMS and the District Medical Doctor arrived on the scene where he was pronounced dead.
     
    An autopsy was performed on January 5th by resident pathologist Dr. Jesus Debroc, who reported that death was due to asphyxia.
