Robbery at Sandy Point
~~Adz:Left~~ Police in Sandy Point are investigating a robbery which took place on 5th January 2008 shortly after midnight. Investigations reveal that Melford ‘Bar’ Richardson, security guard for the Chinese Restaurant in Sandy Point was escorting his employers to their home at the close of business, when they were attacked by three masked men.
Richardson struggled with one of the men, while another discharged several rounds from a firearm. He was not shot, but was stabbed in the arm with a knife by one of the assailants.
The men managed to rob the restaurant owners of a sum of money before making their escape. Richardson was treated at the Hospital and was discharged. Two men are in Police custody assisting in the investigation.
