Business Update: Learning Tourism in Taiwan (16-09-2011)

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Republic of China on Taiwan continues to invest in the nation as 16 individuals travelled to Taiwan to begin courses at the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism in Taiwan.

     

    Courses of study are Restaurant Management, Tourism Marketing Management, Hotel Management, Casino Management and Practice, Service Management, Wine Knowledge and Beverage Making Skill Practice. The trainees are expected to learn, observe, experience, acquire and broaden their knowledge and return to serve St. Kitts and Nevis.

    NATIONAL BANK
    – Ten primary school students were recognised for being given a financial boost from the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank on September 12 in their first primary school Scholarship Programme.

     

    The scholarships were in the form of school uniforms, books, school shoes, and such items that are deemed necessary for attending school, and totalled EC$7 500.

     

    LIME - Last week LIME presented three individuals with vouchers valuing EC$500. These persons were named the winners of one of the Back to School promotion that ran during and after the Skool Aid fair.

     

    Kadeem Lowry, Kerry Freeman, and Kishma Richardson won themselves vouchers to Laws Bookstore, Horsford’s Valu Mart, and School’s Apex respectively.

     

    KVK ENTERPRISES - KVK Learning Institute is currently offering classes to children of all ages. Classes include CXC Information Technology, Electronic Document Preparation Management, Office Procedures, English and Mathematics.

     

    The children's computer classes run daily, every hour from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and every hour on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Reading classes, homework and SBA help are also available.
