US ambassador guest at Alexander Hamilton exhibits’ preview today

Charlestown, Nevis: US ambassador to Barbados and Eastern Caribbean, Mary Oursman, will be guest at the Nevis Historical Conservation Society (NHCS) Alexander Hamilton’s exhibits’ pre-view, at the Alexander Hamilton Museum Nevis, Low Street, Charlestown, later this evening, January 10th.
The Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry will also officiate at the opening ceremony at the preview.
According to John Guilbert, Executive Director of the NHCS, the Alexander Hamilton mobile exhibits were purchased following a donation of US$40,000 by the US government last year.
The exhibits cost US$38,000 and the remaining $2, 000 has been used to mount the exhibits.
Members of the conservation society have been working assiduously to renovate the Nevis Museum, which houses the exhibits.
On Friday, January 11, which is Alexander Hamilton’s birthday, the NHCS will have a Tea Party at the Alexander Hamilton Museum, at 4.30 p.m. ~~Adz:Right~~
The Hamilton Tea Party is a fund-raiser for local scholarships and the NHCS is expected to donate two cheques to the Hamilton Fund to boost the fund.
