~~Adz:Left~~Basseterre, St. Kitts: Two perps made off with little more than $100 after they stormed a Food Centre delivery bus earlier today.
The incident took place earlier this morning, January 14th,  when the vehicle, which was manned by two Food Centre workers, went to Sandy Point to deliver goods in an area identified as “Soho”.

A source close to SKNVibes explained that the driver of the delivery bus drove down a particular street to deliver goods and while reversing two masked men, dressed in black, approached the vehicle.  One of the men allegedly fired a shot into the air and then demanded that the men on the bus hand over whatever monies they had.

The thieves were given the meager sum following which they fled the scene.

The incident was reported to the police and they are making investigations into the matter. It is SKNVibes’ understanding that none of the workers of the bus was injured.

Police have indicated that this is the second such reported incident to have occurred in recent months.
Meanwhile, the public has expressed its outrage at the unabashed approach of robbers, who no longer limit their illegal activities to the dark of night but have opted to do so during the daytime.

One person has even suggested that the wholesalers collaborate on some levels with the security forces to devise plans which if and when implemented, can reduce the likelihood of such taking place again.
