Farmers get Cabinet’s assistance to improve agricultural sector

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 15TH 2008 (CUOPM) – Farmers in St. Kitts and Nevis have been assured of the commitment of the governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration to improve the agricultural sector.
Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Cedric Liburd on Monday received the greenlight from Cabinet on the distribution of land for agricultural purposes and for general assistance to farmers.
“Cabinet gave its full approval and supported the Minister in his quest to resolve all outstanding applications to improve the agricultural sector, thereby empowering our local farmers and improving our food security,” said the Post Cabinet statement.
