Nevis mourns Valencia Robins

Charlestown, Nevis: Nevisians flocked at Alexander Hospital on Friday evening to confirm the fate of eighteen year old Valencia Robins, a sixth form student at Charlestown Secondary School in Nevis.
According to eye witnesses, Valencia had left her part-time employment at Ram’s supermarket around 7.30 p.m and was walking along in that vicinity when she was involved in a motor accident that claimed her life.
Preliminary investigations at the hospital confirmed that Valencia was lifeless when she got to the hospital. A doctor on duty confirmed her death.
According to a press release issued later; the accident involved a motor pickup P9592 driven by Rolston Caines of Morning Star, and pedestrian Valencia Robins 18 yrs of Jessups Village, the pickup was travelling from Charlestown direction, when it collided with the Ms. Robins.
~~Adz:Right~~ Valencia was one of the contestants at the recently concluded St. Thomas community festival dubbed St. Thomas’ Fest.
A Post mortem to establish the specific cause of Valencia’s death will be done today.
This is the first fatality in Nevis for 2008, and third in the Federation. Police has confirmed that a young man is assisting them with their investigations.
