BASSETERRE St.Kitts, September, 26th, 2011 -- The C.A.H Public Library is appealing to all persons and students who have long overdue library books to return them to the Charles A Halbert Public Library located at Cunningham Street, Basseterre from 1st October until 31st December, 2011 without having to pay a fine.

Persons who do not adhere to this notice will have to pay a maximum fine of $10.00 for their overdue books after the amnesty period.

We are encouraging users to take advantage of this opportunity so that other users can benefit from the materials. We are better able to assist students if library users abide by the rules.

The Library materials are owned by the Government and dedicated to the use of all.  It is therefore a criminal offence to make any of the library materials your personal property, by just taking them. We subscribe to the good nature in all human and expect mature and responsible attitudes from everyone.
