    Trial dates for murder cases set

    Basseterre, St. Kitts:
    Trial dates for the six murder cases which are listed to be heard during the ongoing January 2008 Criminal Assizes have been set.
     
    Sheldon Isaac, Romeo “Buncum” Cannonier, Ruedeney Williams and Louis Gardner who are jointly charged are scheduled to be tried on 19th February 2008.  They are accused of killing Gavin “Magilla” Guilbert in the early part of 2005.
     
    Vinrick John who is accused of murdering Alex ‘Rubbers’ Gilbert of Dieppe Bay  in November of 2006 is slated to be tried by a jury of his peers on 26th February 2008.
     
    Lumumba Matthew and Justin Bass who are jointly charged with murdering Darren Berry and the attempted murder of his brother Dion Berry are scheduled to stand trial on 10th March 2008.  The incident took place on 12th January 2007 in the Bayfords area, St. Peters Parish.
    Che Gregory Spencer will be tried for the murder of Jason “Worlo” Marsham
     
    The case of murder brought against Fitzroy Challenger, Jamal Bradshaw and Gregory Anthony Zakers is expected to be heard on 4th February 2008.  They are accused of murdering Josh Smithen in September of 2006. 
     
    Joshua Roach’s murder trial has been scheduled for 5th March, 2008. 
     
    The sole new murder case listed to be heard in the aforementioned assizes is that of Che Gregory Spencer alias “Duck foot” who is accused of shooting to death Jason “Worlo” Marsham on 6th December 2006.  He is slated to be tried on 12th March 2008.
     
    Dates have also been allotted to others cases including: robbery brought against Ramie Gumbs, Jamal Parris, Karim Dickenson and Devon Wattley; causing death by dangerous driving brought against Michael “Vasca” Williams; having a firearm in possession with intent to endanger life brought against Collin Matthew, Sheldon Cannonier, Dion Roberts and Tyrone Fyfield and wounding with intent which has been brought against Darren Gibson.
