St. Kitts- Nevis Attorney-General to speak at SKNSA Independence Gala at Cave Hill

PRESS RELEASE

    BASSETERRE St.Kitts, September 28th 2011  - The St. Kitts- Nevis Students' Association affectionately known as SKNSA held a number of activities at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, Barbados to commemorate the 28th Independence Celebration of St. Kitts- Nevis under the theme " Preserving our Heritage: Self-Respect, Tolerance, and Compassion."
     
    The week of celebrations end on Saturday 24th September, 2011 with the Independence Dinner and Lecture at the UWI Cave Hill Campus. The Guest Speaker chosen is the Hon. Patrice Nisbett, the Attorney General of St. Kitts- Nevis. The Hon. Patrice Nisbett will bring greetings on behalf of the St. Kitts- Nevis Federal Government and address the Student Association.
     
    The event is expected to be a very memorable one. According to the President of the St. Kitts- Nevis Students' Association at Cave Hill, Mr. Azard Gumbs, "much has been done during the week to ensure that our Kittitian- Nevisian presence has been felt on campus.

     

    We have organized a number of events in order to make our presence known and to showcase our culture, our talents and our heritage. Some of the many activities included a Church Service, Inter-Island Association Public Speaking and Debating Competition, Food Fair, and Party.

     

    Tonight we end it all with the Independence Dinner and Lecture. We are also extremely honored to have the Attorney- General of St. Kitts- Nevis here to share in the celebrations at Cave Hill.

     

    Tonight brings the curtains down on what has been a long but successful week. Nonetheless, we will continue to shine as ambassadors of our country.”
