                                                                           Party Base Energized
                                                                       Town Hall Meeting a success

Leader of Opposition People's Action Movement, Mr. Lindsay Grant
The People’s Action Movement Headquarters was near capacity as scores of persons turned out to dialogue, discuss and air their views on the recent government implemented confirmation process.

An estimated 200 persons expressed many concerns about the whole process and the way the government seems to be managing the process rather than driving it as has been indicated by  the Prime Minister at his  most recent Press Conference.

The constitution dictates that the Electoral Commission is the body that should be managing the entire process not the government as it is being done currently.

Political Leader of the People’s Action Movement Mr. Lindsay Fitz-Patrick Grant gave an energetic, interactive, interesting and inspiring address to the enthusiastic gathering. Mr. Grant put forward his Party’s position regarding the confirmation. He stated that the Party will continue to agitate for a free and fair and independent electoral process.

The charismatic Party leader however, was sure to encourage and at times plead and insist that persons  confirm their registration despite the overtly unfair and corrupt system.

“We all know and agree that the confirmation process as is being currently conducted is froth with corruption and government manipulation. However despite this it is extremely important that everyone ensures their franchise by re-confirming their registration,” said PAM Leader Lindsay Grant. “At the end of the day every national must guarantee themselves a say by ensuring that they are able to exercise their franchise no matter the system and or circumstance,” Mr. Grant continued

Mr. Grant and the Party’s leadership was buoyed and encouraged to continue to agitate for a legal, free, fair and an independently run electoral system that would benefit the country rather than any political party.

~~Adz:Left~~ The meeting ended with remarks by Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 5 the Hon. Shawn K. Richards as well as Deputy Political Leader and Party Chairman, Mr. Eugene Hamilton and Lawyer Chesley Hamilton respectively.

Political Observers at the meeting  suggested that the crowd consisted mainly of the party’s base with a small percentage of  curious onlookers and suggested that the energy and enthusiasm displayed bodes well for the party as they prepare to enter another election campaign.
