~~Adz:Left~~ (Basseterre, St. Kitts):  A young man has waited over five years to retaliate against a man who he claims has been tormenting him for years, the last time being when he was fourteen years old.

Seymour James who is now 20-years-old has pleaded guilty to the wounding of Athnell Duncan.  It is said that on March 5th 2007 Duncan was sitting outside a shop in Sandy Point drinking when he felt someone grabbed him and then he felt a sudden sharp pain in his neck.  Duncan said he then got up and saw James with a long knife.

According to James he slashed Duncan’s throat because, when he saw him sitting at the shop he had memories about the things Duncan had done to him in the past.  Duncan suffered a twelve centimeter laceration to his neck which the doctor considered to be life threatening.

His Lordship Justice Belle told James that he would take into consideration the fact that he pled guilty and did not waste the courts’ time and the fact that he has no priors and is only 20-years-old.

However his lordship told Duncan that he thinks he should be taken out of the environment for a while therefore he sentenced him to three years.
