BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE St. Christopher Children’s Home will be having a 2k walk and a 5k run today (Oct. 1) in Frigate Bay.
Both the run and the walk will start at 4:00 p.m. at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club, and both will end there as well. A guide will be on hand to direct the path.
Registration will be taking place from 2:30 in the afternoon, and a contribution of EC$40 for adults, and EC$20 for children ages six to 12 is mandatory.
After the walk and run, persons can take pleasure in a Marriott Barbecue which will include burgers, hotdogs, and sodas among other items.
Mr. X of Mr. X’s Shiggidy Shack is offering a free meal to any person who finishes the 5k run before he does.
There will be bouncing castles and face painting for the entertainment of the children in attendance.
Proceeds from the walk will go towards the upkeep of the Children’s Home.
