    R. C. Wu  appointed new Taiwanese Ambassador with responsibility for St. Kitts and Nevis
    Basseterre, St. Kitts:
A new Taiwanese Ambassador to serve in St. Kitts and Nevis has been named and appointed.  This is according to Taiwan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, James Huang as quoted in the Internet Edition of the China Post.

Presently serving Taiwanese Ambassador, John J. K. Liu will be replaced by R. C. Wu, who has served as director-general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta, USA since 2003.  He also served in “Taiwan’s representative offices in Poland and the Commonwealth of Dominica in the 1990’s.”

John J. K. Liu has served as the Taiwanese ambassador with responsibility for St. Kitts and Nevis for the past six years and when he completes his stint here, he “will be transferred to the ministry's Taipei headquarters,” the China Post noted Huang as saying.

While a specific date has not been given for the official changing over of duties from Liu to Wu, SKNVibes has been reliably informed that he might be arriving in the Federation during the second quarter of this year.  ~~Adz:Right~~

In 1983, St. Kitts and Nevis gained its independence from British rule and secured ties with Taiwan.  Since then, both countries have endeavoured to and have been successful at cementing the relationship.  Huang, according to the China Post, expressed his confidence in WU’s new appointment and noted that it will only serve to further cement the relationship between the two entities.
