BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – LEADER of the People’s Action Movement [PAM], Lindsay Grant is frustrated over the new date announced for the availability of the confirmation list of voters.

According to a release from PAM’s headquarters, nothing is surprising them with the running of the electoral office after the party was informed that the confirmation list of voters would be made available to the public in the second week of February and not at the end of each month as stated.

The release states, “According to the leader of PAM, Mr. Lindsay Grant, his frustration is founded in the fact that Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas, who is also responsible for elections, announced during his monthly press conference in January that the confirmation list would be made available at the end of every month.”

It added that in a letter from the Supervisor of Elections, Mr. Leroy Benjamin, [dated January, 29, 2008], WINN FM understood that the list would now be available on February 15, and following the first publication a monthly list would be published on the 15th of each succeeding month.

~~Adz:Right~~ “This station,” the release continued, “also understands that the new time period has been determined based on the fact that the month’s data has to be available before the actual processing of the data can take place and that it is also necessary for a period of time to carry out printing and collating of the list.
