BASSETERRE, St. Kitts:   A man almost lost his car door in a traffic accident which took place earlier this morning February 11th on Fort Street just outside the Dollar Saver store.

According to Eustace Williams, the driver of a Frank B. Armstrong truck PA5304, while he was driving up Fort Street, Gremley Weeks the driver of a silver Nissan PA7259 was exiting his car without paying attention to the traffic and in the process the truck collided into the car door leaving it with a few dents and scratches.

Luckily for Weeks, he was not injured during the collision.

Weeks declined to give any statements at the time of the incident.

Bystanders said the incident could have been much worse since the driver of the car could have been hit instead of just his car door.

Police were called to the scene and the matter is being investigated.
