BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE anticipation is finally over as the names of six young beauties have been revealed to compete in the 2011 Miss National Queen Pageant to prove themselves worthy of Iantavian Queeley’s crown.
They are Trevecia Adams and Desri Weekes of Newtown and Sandy Point respectively. Both ladies were a popular pick named as hopefuls in a recent story by SKNVibes titled ‘Miss St. Kitts hopefuls who’s your pick’.
They are being joined by Jody Carter of St. Johnston Village, Maryska O’Loughlin of Cayon, Kaila Huggins of Parsons Village and Verlyn Williams of Sandy Point.
According to information coming from the National Carnival Committee, the contestants were introduced to each other last night.
They also stated that all six contestants have already begun rehearsals for the big day Tuesday December 27.
The contestants will be officially introduced to the general public at the launch of Sugar Mas' 40:40 on Saturday October 15 after the grand parade through Basseterre.
The 2011 Sugar Mas celebrations will run from November 25 to January 3.
