Appearing today at the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court in an attempt to obtain bail, Customs Officer Neil Duport was told by Magistrate Yasmine Clarke that only the High Court could do so for the offences he allegedly committed.

According to the Officer-in-Charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, Nevis Division, Inspector Hilroy Brandy, a female made a report to the police in Charlestown late last week claiming that she was raped by Dupont.
Dupont was arrested and charged yesterday with “Rape” and “Bugggery”.
He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and will have to seek bail through the High Court.
