~~Adz:Right~~Basseterre, St. Kitts – FOLLOWING last evening’s shooting of Orlando Huggins in Cayon Village, police have issued arrest warrants for three men residing on St. Kitts.

According to a police release, arrest warrants exist for Terrence ‘Papa’ Charles of Spooners, Kelston ‘Blacka’ Joseph of Ottleys, and Esroy ‘Heads’ Mills of Upper Cayon.

Police are requesting that anyone knowing their whereabouts should contact the Cayon Police Station at telephone number at 465-7258 but warns, “These men may be armed and should be considered dangerous.”

When visited by SKNVibes, Police Public Relations and Press Officer Inspector Cromwell Henry said, “At about 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12 the police at Cayon received a report that there was a shooting at Back Street, Cayon. They immediately responded and met Mr. Orlando Huggins of Market Alley, Cayon in the area.

“He was observed to have had a gunshot wound on the upper portion of his left leg. He spoke with the police who ensured that he got medical attention. Huggins was transported to the JNF Hospital where he is currently detained.”

Inspector Henry said investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Speaking with an eyewitness on account of anonymity, SKNVibes was told that while Huggins was imbibing with a friend at a shop in Back Street, Cayon, a man struck him on his head with a gun.

The eyewitness said Huggins and the gunman began fighting and when they fell to the ground he heard the report of gunfire.

“I heard Huggins cried out in pain, and it was only then all who were present realised that he was shot in his leg,” the eyewitness said.

The eyewitness added that shortly after shooting Huggins, the gunman fled the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital by one of his friends.
