BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are currently investigating the death of an elderly man whose body was discovered sometime this morning (Oct. 10) in the yard of his La Guerite residence.
Dead is 60-year-old Burnagie Hendrickson, whose body, according to the police, was removed from the scene by one of the funeral homes in Basseterre after he was pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer.
Police informed that they received a report of Hendrickson’s death, and on arrival found his body lying in his yard west of the Community Centre in La Guerite.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that Hendrickson had committed suicide by ingesting a poisonous substance.
Police however refuted the assumption and declared that an authoritative statement would be made following an autopsy.
