In the right place at the wrong time/Relatives claim Hobash is not in a gang

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts: RELATIVESof Hobash Rawlins, a young man who according to police, is a member of the Black Knights Gang, are claiming that he is in no way associated with the said gang nor any other gang.
A police press release dated February 18, 2008, informed that Rawlins was one of 12 gang members who were arrested and charged following an incident which occurred in the Tabernacle area on February 11, 2008.
Public Relations Officer for the Police Force, Inspector Cromwell Henry, in a previous interview with SKNVibes.com stated that on the day in question, police officers saw the men assembled somewhere in the Tabernacle area “smoking” and attempt to conduct bodily searches on them.
The men, as reported by the police, refused and were later taken into police custody and charged with ‘Obstruction’ under the Small Charges Act.
The arrestees “are known members of the Tabernacle area gang known as the Black Knights” the release informed and, “are identified by the black shirt worn by its members,” the press release stated.
Yesterday afternoon, one of Rawlins’ relatives visited the SKNVibes.com office and claimed that “he [Rawlins] is not, in anyway shape or form, associated with the Black Knights Gang or any other gang”.
SKNVibes.com understands that the incident occurred at Hutchinson’s Shop in Tabernacle, the place where, as relatives claim, Rawlins’ mother sent him to purchase goods. ~~Adz:Right~~
In what appears to be a case of being ‘in the right place at the wrong time’, Rawlins’ relatives claim that while he was at the shop running the errand for his mother, the episode transpired.
While Rawlins’ relative defended his honour relative to the gang issue, no mention was made of the charge which was preferred against him.
SKNVibes.com understands that all of the individuals arrested in connection with that incident have been granted bail with curfews being one of the attached conditions.
