Press Release

ROADTOWN Tortola, BVI, October 13th 2011 - The video shows then CFU President, Jack Warner explaining to a packed audience of CFU members, including BVIFA President Franka Pickering, the details of a monetary “gift” by Mohammed Bin Hamman, who was running against incumbent Sepp Blatter for the leadership of FIFA.

Jack Warner has accused FIFA of orchestrating a “conspiracy” against him and members of the Caribbean Football Union.

Warner’s comments followed the publication of the video on Telegraph Sport website (to view video click:

In the clip, Warner told any delegates who were too “pious” to accept the gifts to “go to church”. However, he said the video was part of a “Swiss conspiracy” against him and the Caribbean region.

Also featured in the clip is BVIFA President Franka Pickering, who is seen raising her hand when Warner suggested to those who don’t want the “gift” to give it to another country. The BVI is also acknowledged by Warner.

Pickering as BVIFA President, is one of 15 members of the CFU who will learn their fate on Friday October 14, 2011, at the conclusion of the FIFA Ethics Committee investigation. She has denied all knowledge of the alleged bribes, but the video appears to show a different story.

Bin Hammam was banned for life by FIFA for his role in the alleged bribery incident, which came during his campaign for the FIFA presidency, while Warner resigned when faced with accusations.
