FIFA officials from St. Kitts-Nevis return home after a very successful Men's World Cup Qualifier Appointment in Antigua & Barbuda.

    BASSETERRE St.Kitts, October 13th, 2011 -- As several of the St. Kitts-Nevis National teams have been involved in qualifiers recently; the Under 17 females tried to advance to their 2012 World Cup in Azerbaijan; the U-23 Olympic male team continues to press forward to make it to London for the 2012 Olympics; and the senior male team battles for a spot in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil; our officials have also been involved in various Qualifiers.

     

    FIFA referee James Matthew and FIFA assistant referees Graeme Browne and Ike Inniss returned to the Federation yesterday (Wednesday 12th October), after successfully honouring their men's World Cup Qualifier, Antigua-Barbuda vs the United States Virgin Islands, at the Sticky-Wicket Ground in St. Johns Antigua.
    The host won 10-0.

     

    This is not the first (1st) time for the year that these ambassadors have officiated in qualifiers.

     

    1. James Matthew had appointments on:
    • 15.6.11 - Men's World Cup Qualifier - Preliminary Competition in Trinidad & Tobago: Montserrat vs Belize.
    • 19 - 23 July, 2011, Men's Olympic Qualifier - Preliminary Competition Caribbean Zone - Round 1 - Appointments - Group B in Dominica: Dominica, Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago and Curacao while

     

    2. Graeme Browne worked on :
    • 23 - 27 June, 2011 - Men's Olympic Qualifier - Preliminary Competition Caribbean Zone - Round 1 - Appointments - Group C? in Cuba: Cuba, Aruba & Guyana

     

    Mr. James Greene also completed an assignment as referee assessor on 15th September, 2011, when he journeyed to Trinidad to perform duties in the Women's U 17 World Cup Qualifier, Trinidad & Tobago vs Dominica.

     

    The St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) congratulates all of the above officials on these appointments, as well as their performances, and wish them more appointments in future.
