BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – RESULTS from an autopsy that was performed on the body of the late Denzil ‘Dino’ Flemming has shown that the cause of death was due to gunshot injuries to the chest and abdomen with hemorrhage and shock.
According to a police communiqué, the post mortem examination was performed by Barbados based Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Stephen Jones earlier today (Oct. 13).
The 28-year-old became the 29th murder victim of the Federation after he was killed shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 6 in the vicinity of his Hardtimes, Gingerland home in Nevis
Reports surrounding the murder are that, Flemming who is originally from Ponds Pasture, Newtown in St. Kitts shortly after unplaiting his hair at a bar in Gingerland, parked his vehicle and was approaching the gate to his residence when a gunman fired a number of shots, hitting him multiple times to the body.
Only some weeks before Flemming’s death, 21-year-old Adjel Jeffers was shot and killed in Camps Village, Nevis.
His body was laid to rest earlier in the day that Flemming died.
Inquiries into this matter are ongoing and police are making a special appeal to persons who may have information regarding this matter to come forward. The information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality.
