BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A Newtown resident was stabbed multiple times to the body yesterday afternoon while the funeral service for his mother was in progress.
Quincy Duncan of Caunt and Stainforth Streets, Newtown is hopitalised at the JNF General Hospital following a stabbing incident yesterday afternoon in College Street Ghaut.
Police Press and Public relations Officer Inspector Cromwell Henry this morning told SKNVibes that Duncan was stabbed multiple times to the body yesterday at approximately 3:30 p.m. in College Street Ghaut while the ‘home-going service’ for his late mother was in progress at the Methodist Church on Seaton Street, Basseterre.
Henry informed that Duncan told the police he was attacked by four armed men; none of whom he could possibly identify.
Police investigations are ongoing. ~~Adz:Right~~
Duncan was recently charged for wounding Clyde Thompson, a caretaker of the Sands Complex, on Friday, February 15, 2008. Reports state that Duncan, on the day in question, approached Dr. Wilkinson’s office at the Sands Complex in an angry manner insisting he wanted to see the medical practitioner, but the office staff prohibited him from entering.
Thompson, who rendered assistance in preventing Duncan from entering the office, was allegedly pushed to the ground by Duncan, causing him to suffer head injuries.
Thompson was taken to the JNF General Hospital, where he was treated and discharged but subsequently returned and was warded.
