BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AS part of the ongoing activities commemorating Financial Information Month 2011, a business strengthening workshop will be held tomorrow (Oct. 18), focusing on fortifying businesses and building competitiveness during an economic downturn.
The Regional Business Symposium will be held at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Headquarters, with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and business owners throughout the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union in attendance, and will be transmitted to participants at the ECCB Agency Offices via videoconference.
Under the theme, “Revitalising and rejuvenating business enterprises: Strategic responses to current economic and business challenges”, the Symposium will expose the CEOs and entrepreneurs to concepts and techniques for reinforcing their businesses and being ready for action during the current recession.
Three experienced business executives from the United States of America and St Kitts and Nevis will conduct the sessions.
Clare Doyle, Global Marketing Director of Elements Specialties in the USA will expose the participants to the key concepts of Market Segmentation and Marketing Metrics, while Rawlinson Isaac, a Financial Consultant from St Kitts and Nevis will provide guidance on: Maximising the potential of the ECCU businesses amidst an uncertain business environment.
Edwin Zephrin, Managing Director of Edwin Zephrin and Associates in the US will examine talent identification and management through competency modelling and targeted learning.
