    Charlestown Primary School celebrates Black History Month

    CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – STUDENTS and teachers of Charlestown Primary School observed Black History Month with at a colourful ceremony held on the school’s ground on Thursday, February 28.
     
    The event saw the students and their teachers attired in African tribal wear and drew comments from many people present, who described the school’s annual activities in celebrating Black History Month as the most outstanding.
     
    Among the activities organised to enlightened the children on the importance of their heritage were freedom songs, dances, prayers, poetry recitals and playing traditional and modern musical instruments.
