Sandy Point Primary School "Know Your Country Quiz"
~~Adz:Left~~ The Sandy Point Primary School is the new champion of the annual “Know your Country” Primary School Quiz Contest which was held on 21 February during the History & Heritage Week of Activities.
Four teams, each comprising two students, representing the zonal winners among 17 schools in St. Kitts, fielded questions on the geography, history, civics and cultural heritage of St. Kitts and Nevis.
In the preliminary round, the most outstanding students were Elvis Isaac of the Edgar T. Morris Primary and Zonique Browne of the Sandy Point Primary.
They both correctly answered all of the questions put to them. Zonique Browne won a double by being the only student to correctly answer all questions in the final round.
The other participating teams in the Finals were Maurice Hillier Memorial, last year’s winners, which came second; the St. Christopher Preparatory; and the Estridge Primary.
This year’s Primary Schools Quiz Contest was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Liamuiga, Leyton’s Microcomputers, and the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society.
