~~Adz:Right~~ BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A Sunday evening traffic accident has left one injured and extensive damages to two vehicles on Wellington Road.

At about 6:25 Sunday, the quietude of the evening was shattered with the resounding impact of two vehicles that collided on Wellington Road in the vicinity of Texaco Gas Station, causing residents within the immediate area to exclaim shock and disbelief, but relief that there was no fatality or life-threatening injuries.

The two vehicles, a white Honda CRV PA1055, owned by Errol Connor and driven by Agnola Rogers of Taylors Village, and a silver-gray Mazda Tribute P3877, owned by Judith Rawlins of Brown Sugar and driven by David Sutton of Prickley Pear Alley, collided at the junction of Leonard Dickenson Street and Edwards Lane on Wellington Road.

According to reports, Rogers was emerging from Leonard Dickenson Street to enter Edwards Lane while Sutton was driving north along Wellington Road when the accident occurred.

It was said that the Mazda Tribute slammed into the Honda CRV, catapulted into the air and landed on its wheels facing the opposite direction while the other vehicle [Mazda CRV] flipped and rested on its left side.

When SKNVibes arrived on the scene, Sutton was on the street unscathed but Rogers was still within her vehicle as onlookers continuously peered inside urging her to exit while awaiting the arrival of an ambulance.

On arrival, members of an Emergency Medical Services unit entreated her to exit the vehicle, and with some difficulty she emerged from the rear with trickles of blood from her nostrils and crying out for pain in her neck.

She was driven to the Joseph N France General Hospital for examination and treatment to her injury or injuries and was admitted, as members of the Police Traffic Department, under Inspector Venetta Wyatt, conducted their investigation into the accident.
