    William Benjamin charged for wounding fellow inmate

    The brother-in law of Michelle Weekes-Benjamin, William 'Willy' Benjamin.
    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WILLIAM Benjamin, who for the past year has been a guest at Her Majesty’s Prison, was late last year arrested and charged with one count of “inflicting grievous bodily harm”.
     
    Benjamin is one of three men arrested and charged with the offence; the other two are Sheldon Cannonier and Phillip Jones.
     
    According to a police press release, the offence was committed against another inmate on February 19, 2008. The release, however, does not provide additional information into the matter.
     
    The three young men are expected to appear before the court shortly.
     
    Benjamin is also awaiting trial as he has been jointly accused with his brother Leroy Benjamin Jr., of killing Michelle Weekes-Benjamin, wife of Benjamin Jr.
     
    Kevaughn Pemberton of Old Road was arrested and charged with a February 15, 2008 “wounding” offence. ~~Adz:Right~~
     
    St. Johnson Village resident Jason Liddie was on Sunday, March 9, 2008 arrested and charged with “making use of threatening language”.
     
    “Carrying abroad and offensive weapon” was the offence with which Holding Dore of Pond Hill, Gingerland, was charged.
     
    Basseterre resident Eric Halliday was arrested and slapped with a charge of “indecent assault”.  The offence, according to police, was allegedly committed on March 6, 2008.
     
    All arrested persons will make an appearance before the court shortly.
