~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A popular omnibus owner and employee of St. Kitts Water Department was on Monday sentenced to nine months imprisonment for wounding his girlfriend.

Appearing before City Magistrate Josephine Mallelieu-Webbe, St. Clair ‘Bush’ Kelly of Malone Avenue, Basseterre pleaded guilty to wounding Karen Greene and was sentenced to nine months at Her Majesty’s Prison.
Kelly was arrested on Sunday, February 24 and charged on the following day after Green reported to the police that he wounded her during an altercation in the vicinity of Springfield Cemetery.

SKNVibes had first posted an article which indicated that while in Greene’s vehicle, in the vicinity of Springfield Cemetery, Kelly had placed a rope around her neck during an altercation. The convicted man, however, subsequently contacted the media house and stated that the object was not a rope but a “dog’s leash” that Greene had used as a weapon to attack him.

According to Police Press and Public Affairs Officer Inspector Cromwell Henry, St. Clair ‘Bush’’ Kelly was charged with “Wounding” which led to his arrest and subsequent imprisonment.
