BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Kim Collins broke the 100m Pan American Games record in semi-finals 2 of the 100m, in Guadalajara, Mexico last evening (Mon. Oct.24)

Collins, the 35 year old from St. Kitts Nevis, got to the finishing line in 10 seconds flat.

Still only in the semi-finals of the 100m, Collins was able to erase Cuba’s Penalver Leandro's 28 year old record, of 10.06 seconds.

Collins is now being called “evergreen” and “ageless” as he continues to retain positions in the finals of international championship games since becoming a world champion in 2003.

In 2003, Kim Collins became the World’s Fastest Man when he won the 100M at the World Championships in France. Today he is being hailed as the World’s Most Consistent Champion as well as the oldest athlete to medal in World Championship Meets.

In this year alone, Collins, 35, has become the two time bronze medalist at the World Championships and the three time silver medalist in International Championships in Europe.

Thanks to Kim Collins the country of St. Kitts and Nevis has become a familiar name on the world scene.

SKNVibes extends sincere congratulations to Kim and wishes him even greater success in the Finals in Mexico.
