BASSETERRE St. Kitts, October 25th 2011 - Due to the overwhelming response from Groovy Soca Artistes and Groups the St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival Committee is pleased to announce that for the 1st time in National Carnival history,  a "Groovy" category will be added to the Beaumont Park Soca Monarch Competition.  The show which is scheduled to be held on the 23rd December will now have Two (2) winners, that of "Groovy" Monarch and "Power" Monarch.
 
Registration is ongoing at the National Carnival Secretariat and online at www.stkittsneviscarnival.com with a deadline date of October 31st, 2011 at 4pm.  No registration forms will be accepted after this date.
 
The Secretariat is open Mondays to Fridays, 8am -4pm.  Competition criteria and regulations will also be available at the Secretariat for collection.
