CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - Head of the Criminal Investigation (CID) in Nevis, Inspector Hilroy Brandy confirmed in an interview that Dion Walters from Stoney Grove was shot at 4.00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to Walters, who spoke from the Alexandra Hospital where he is warded, he and other persons were driving home after “partying” when the shooting incident occurred close to the Jewish Cemetery on Government Road.
Walters was taken to the hospital by the driver of the car in which he was travelling when the incident occurred. According to Inspector Brandy, no arrests have been made but investigations are ongoing.
Preliminary investigations revealed Walters told the police that a jeep drove past the car in which he was a passenger and it was a man who fired the shot that wounded him.
“He [the gunman] was in a car with two other persons,” Inspector Brandy said during an interview.~~Adz:Right~~
