Shebada promises to rock Nevis with political comedy

By: Nordia Demming, SKNVibes.com

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE Nevis Cultural Complex promises patrons a night of laughter and amusement with a hilarious skit, dubbed ‘GhettOut’, which will see the outstanding theatrical qualities of Jamaican ‘Starring Diva’ Shebada.

According to Assistant Organiser Lancelot Neil, the event would be held on Saturday (Nov. 12) at 8:00 p.m. and patrons are asked to be on time, as the venue is expected to be filled to capacity.

Neil also told SKNVibes that this would be the first time the play, organised by Jeanette Warner, would take place outside of Jamaica.

“This skit portrays a political scheme where politicians bribe voters during elections and how people’s lives are interconnected with politics. This show is for the entire family. There will be no swearing involved in this play,” Neil said.

He added that one of the Federation’s celebrated DJs, Maurice ‘EK’ Flanders, would be participating in the play alongside a number of Jamaican actors.

Neil made comforting mention that ferry boats would be available to and from the event.

Admission for this fun-filled event is only EC$50 for adults by tickets and EC$65 at the gate, while children will pay EC$30 for tickets and EC$35 at the gate.

The Assistant Organiser informed that GhettOut is scheduled to take place in St. Kitts sometime next year.
