SKNVibes.com one of the leading websites in the Caribbean, yesterday, Tuesday December 21, in the spirit of Carnival handed over a cheque equaling to the amount of EC$2,500 for the winner of the Road March Competition for St. Kitts Carnival 2004/05.
At a brief handing over ceremony at SKNVIbes.com, Allister Williams Chairman of Carnival accepted the cheque on behalf of the Carnival committee and said he was pleased that the company had taken this initiative in sponsoring a Carnival event.
"I would like to thank SKNVibes.com for coming on board and sponsoring not only the street activity but also an event of Carnival," he said. "We are very pleased with SKNVibes.com for taking this initiative as well as the contribution they have made towards Carnival over the years."
The chairman of Carnival also added that the Carnival Committee will match SKNVibes.com sponsorship with a sponsorship of their own of $2,500 equaling to the amount of $5,000, the largest prize cash ever given for the Road March Competition winner.

"We have worked with practically all of the bands in St. Kitts and Nevis in helping them to develop their website and we are always in favor of promoting music in the federation, and we saw sponsoring the Road March prize as doing that as well as a way of showing our support to Carnival," he said.
The COO went on to explain that his company has also created a website www.stkittsmusic.com which was purposely created to help promote St. Kitts music creating an avenue where musicians can sell their music on the world wide web& "We will not be making money from this, this is all in promoting the talents of St. Kitts and Nevis," Williams said.
