BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AN early morning collision temporarily disrupted the smooth but busy flow of traffic today in the vicinity of Baker’s Corner in Basseterre.

At approximately 8:10 this morning, a taxi, T607, owned and driven by Norris Martin of College Housing Project and a Honda Civic motorcar, PA6658, owned and driven by Juvita Hazel of Sandy Point, collided at the junction of Cayon and East Independence Square Streets.

According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Henry, the taxi was entering Cayon Street from East Independence Square Street when it collided with the motorcar, which was travelling in an easterly direction along Cayon Street.

On arrival at the scene, SKNVibes observed that both vehicles were side-by-side facing Wellington Road with minor damages to the left bumper and left door of the taxi, while the motorcar’s bumper was partly ripped off and the right headlights were broken.

A female police officer was also at the scene investigating the cause of the accident.
