‘Shaggy’ charged with Richards’ murder

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE man who turned himself over to police following an incident that left a St. Pauls resident dead, was on Monday, April 7, 2008 charged with “murder”.
Lionel ‘Shaggy’ Warner of Dieppe Bay on Saturday morning journeyed to the Basseterre Police Station where he gave himself up to the authorities in connection with the Friday, April 4, 2008 stabbing incident.
He was charged with the murder of 25-year-old Alphonso ‘Bobo Hortical’ Richards.
Close to midnight on April 4, it was reported that an argument erupted in an area popularly known as “De Ghetto” in St. Pauls. The argument progressed to a stage of physical violence resulting in Richards being stabbed in the upper left portion of his chest.
He was taken to the Pogson Hospital via a private vehicle but succumbed to his injuries about half an hour after his arrival.
Richards is the Federation’s fifth murder victim for the year; four of the murders occurred in St. Kitts while the remaining one took place in Nevis. ~~Adz:Right~~
