Ricky Skerritt dispels resignation rumours

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AMIDST rumours suggesting he has resigned from his ministerial post, Minister of State with responsibility for Tourism, Sports and Culture Richard ‘Ricky’ Skerritt denies that any such thing has taken place.
Sometime after midday yesterday [April 10], SKNVibes caught wind of rumours suggesting Minister Skerritt had submitted word, either verbal or written, that he relinquished his post in the Federal Cabinet.
After three unsuccessful attempts SKNVibes persisted and finally contacted the Minister, who, following a brief but hearty chuckle when asked for his opinion, refuted the rumour and indicated there was absolutely no truth to it.
“Absolutely not,” he said. The call was however brief as Minister Skerritt indicated to SKNVibes that he was in a meeting and needed to get back to it immediately.
Since that conversation, SKNVibes caught wind of other rumours indicating that Minister Skerritt has intention of resigning from his ministerial duties sometime in the not-too-distant future.
He was again contacted at which point explained that he has no idea as to where the rumours could have originated and reiterated that he has not tendered his resignation. ~~Adz:Right~~
“I have no idea where the rumour came from. There are some very mischievous people who love to create some level of confusion and mischief. There is no truth to the rumour that I have resigned. I have no idea about where it came from.”
