BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BOYDS’ resident, Victerine James is the latest recipient of an accolade from Kajola Kristada when she was recently named that establishment’s Employee of the Month for October.
James has been employed by the company since 1999 and works in the mini-initial department.
The mother of three boys was all smiles as she told SKNVibes that she was very happy for the award and loves her job, and also her employer Jose’ Rosa.
She extended wishes of further success for the company in the future.
Human Resource Manager Malvie James in a previous interview with SKNVibes said that the Employee of the Month programme has been going well and that the employees have been looking forward to it.
“Now a lot of employees are asking their supervisors what they have to do to become employees of the month,” she said.
Among the criteria for judging the Employee of the Month are knowledge of the job, quality, attire, versatility, punctuality, attendance and team building according to James.
In the past, the Human Resource manager also stated that the General Manager, José Rosa, is instrumental in making sure that the employees are recognised and duly awarded.
She mentioned that the company has an Employee of the Month Committee which includes supervisors from each department and two members of staff.
She also told SKNVibes that the supervisors are given appraisal forms upon which they would score the employees, and the employee with the highest points from each department would be discussed by the committee.
