    Chippie takes Nevis by storm

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – UTS Chippie made good on its promise when it embarked on an island-wide rally on sister island Nevis on Saturday April 12th, duplicating the event held on St. Kitts last month.

The festive rally started at around noon, cruising around the streets of downtown Charlestown before hitting the villages with the Chippie girls, Miss Back To Roots Trevecia Adams, Evolution Sound and various staff members.

As the motorcade passed through many of the villages, the whistle blowing, horn tooting and music drew hundreds of Nevisians outside their homes to enjoy the free promotional items being distributed as well as to purchase Chippie handsets.

The mobile telecommunications sold handsets as low as EC$39 and offered existing customers Chippie Double on Top-Up cards with a buy one get another of the same value free deal.

Chippie Sales and Marketing Representative Alfred Harley took time out during the rally to speak with SKNVibes.com, express his elation over the response Chippie was receiving in Nevis.

“After many successful events over in St. Kitts, Nevisians asked when we were bringing the fun and phones across the waters. So far we’ve been greeted with open arms and the response from the communities has been impressive. They are making good use of the low handset prices and they can’t get enough of the Chippie Double,” he reported.

The large group also unveiled several strategically placed billboards across the island before making their way back to the heart of Charlestown where the action culminated in the Memorial Square.

The Odisi Band had maintained the celebratory atmosphere in the town from 12 – 5 p.m. while the rally made its way back to Charlestown. Ultra Sonic band took over the musical entertainment later that evening when they performed in the Courtyard for the public’s enjoyment.

A tired but very satisfied Harley said that Chippie had more events planned for Nevis to improve the way the company does business there as well as to show their appreciation to their valued Nevisian customers.
