BASSETERRE, St. Kitts: The peace of what was expected to be an ordinary Friday morning was interrupted when reports that a man who has been identified only as ‘Abaloo’ had been shot dead.

Following succinct investigations, SKNVibes.com discovered a body laid out on the ground covered with a white cloth on Shaw Avenue, Mc Knight.  Members of the Security Forces had already cordoned off the area and were standing guard.

An individual who lives in proximity to the scene of the incident explained to SKNVibes.com that the sound of about five gunshots permeated the atmosphere following which, he ventured out to ascertain what had taken place.

“I heard the gunshots… about five of them.  I came out to see what was happening and I saw him die.  He did not die right away; he was in and out of consciousness. I saw him die,” the individual told SKNVibes.com.

Seeking additional information, SKNVibes.com journeyed to neighboring Cunningham Street where an even larger crowd and heavily armed security officers were met.

From where it lay, Abaloo’s body could be seen from both Cunningham Street and Shaw Avenue.

Tears could be seen moistening the faces of the onlookers as the cloth which covered Abolo’s body was briefly hoisted by the wind.   ~~Adz:Right~~

Irate and infuriated friends and family members of the deceased expressed their displeasure not only with the “unfortunate” occurrence but also, as they explained, the way in which things were being handled at the scene.

Abaloo is the seventh murder victim for the year with the sixth occurring less than a week ago.

Police have indicated to SKNVibes.com that they are making investigations into the matter.

Any person possessing information relative to this incident is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241 extensions 230/220 or 226.
