‘LEAP Poised to Present its Christmas Theatre Production’

A Ram’s Representative hands over Sponsorship Cheque to LEAP’s Managing Director
Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kittss, December 1st 2011 — In the splendid style for which it has very quickly become renowned, The Learning & Empowerment through the Arts Program (LEAP) will be presenting its second performing arts production for the year on Friday 23rd December, 2011 at the Sir Cecil Jacobs (ECCB) Auditorium. This grand talent showcase, interestingly entitled ‘How Ms. Finch Stole Christmas’ will impressively take on a musical-theatre format featuring the multiple specialty skills of its members in dance, song, and dramatization.

As the public eagerly awaits LEAP’s dazzling performances for this holiday season, in excess of 100 students (more affectionately referred to as ‘LEAPers’) have been working very hard to exceed the high expectations of its forthcoming audience. LEAP’s Managing Director, Genieve Hanley remarked, “The beauty about work put out by LEAP lies in its sound mission, diversity and positive energy. We house and train artists as young as four, right through to some beyond their forties.

They each bring something fresh, creative, exciting and purposeful to the table, and we’re extremely delighted to once again be presenting a spectacular show serving as a melting pot for their unique abilities and personalities.”

Though ‘How Ms. Finch Stole Christmas’—a riveting tale of a woman’s misery during the most festive time of year—is laced with comedy and sheer entertainment, patrons can look forward to the communication of strong social messages throughout. These characteristics have become a dear trademark of LEAP with its joyous, yet powerful presentations.

Resultantly, several corporations with a commitment to supporting organizations and events which bring goodness to our local communities have graciously stepped forward to patronize the show. Most commendably, Ram’s and Sky Safaris have partnered as gold sponsors. Their representatives have each expressed their praises to LEAP for its role in the artistic and even holistic development of our nation’s people, and trust that their contributions reaffirm their interest in giving back to St. Kitts & Nevis. Other kind sponsors include Caribbean Cinemas, iRepSKN, Plush Accessories, LIME, Modern Elegance Photography, The Red Devils J’ouvert Troupe and ACE Management & Consultancy.

LEAP and all of its partners look forward to staging a high-quality, impactful, enjoyable show.
