BASSETERRE St. Kitts, December 1st 2011 - One of the Federation’s leading Health and Wellness Centers has given its Corporate support to the Local Organizing Committee (St. Kitts and Nevis Association of Pharmacists) of the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists (C. A. P) Summit held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort from 25th - 27th November 2011.
The City Drug Store (2005) Limited sponsored the regional body’s three (3) day meeting held under the theme, “Developing A Common Destiny”, and provided an informational booth that offered free blood sugar and pressure testing services to all attendees.
According to Mrs. Maria Hanley, General Manager of the CDS, “the company is pleased to be associated with an event that seeks to further educate and advance our pharmaceutical base. Moreover, this forum will give CDS another opportunity to be an integral part of the process of continuing the drive to provide quality care at the National and Regional levels.”
In response to the drug store’s commitment, Mr. David Pellow, Executive Director of the C.A.P., spoke of the importance of having CDS on board and their role in advancing the Organization’s agenda.
“We are very delighted to have the backing of the City Drug Store as one of our partners for this year’s conference. This collaborative effort gives CDS another avenue to work closely with other ‘care givers’, i.e., (pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, doctors, etc) to strengthen the relationship between medical professionals and the business community.
CDS’s involvement now places them in a position to better relate and respond to the immediate needs of their customers, which augurs well for the future of Health Care in St. Kitts and Nevis”.
