Buckley’s, St. Kitts, December 7th, 2011 – The St. Kitts Bottling Co. Ltd. a HACCP certified company, bottling the highest quality beverages to the international standards that Coca-Cola is renowned for; was on Wednesday 16th November, proud to warmly welcome a group of five members of the Special Olympic Team along with their supervisor for a plant tour as a part of the Special Olympics Annual Week of Activities (Nov 12th – 19th).
The team consisted of two children from the Special Education Department of the Dr. William Connor Primary School; as well as three adults from the Special Adult Institution.
The visit commenced with a hearty welcome from the Human Resource Manager, Mr. Siefroy Phillip, after which the group was given a brief history about the company; as well as a firsthand view of the production process at the plant.
The tour proved to be a success since the team enjoyed themselves, and asked many questions about the company. At the end of the tour each member of the team received tokens, compliments of the company which comprised of a coca-cola goal post and a football.
The St. Kitts Bottling Company is proud to be a part of the Special Olympic week of activities and is looking forward to do much more in the future.
