BASSETERRE St. Kitts, December 13th, 2011 -- The executive committee and supporters of the St. Kitts-Nevis Association of Houston (SKNAH) wanted to be sure that the children living at the St. Christopher Children’s home located at Cardin Avenue in St. Kitts have a wonderful Christmas. 

With that in mind, a plan was put in place by the Director of Community Affairs, Sharon Hodge to collect donations of toiletries, paper products, oral and personal care items, school supplies, shoes, as well as clothing for the children so they may live in a dignified setting and continue to have their basic needs met.

Following a 3 week collection drive, the members and supporters of SKNAH generously donated items which filled 3 barrels.  A “pack de barrel” party was held at the shipping facility November 26th where the barrels were packed and shipped to the Children’s Home in time for an early Christmas delivery. We are happy to announce that the arrival was successful on December 8th at the port of St Kitts-Nevis.

The director of the home, Cheryl Wells puts it like this - “It is with great excitement that the St. Christopher Children's Home is expressing our sincere appreciation to your organization for the generous Christmas gifts that we received today. Your thoughtfulness and commitment in helping the underprivileged children of our community is not only encouraging, but inspirational.

The goal of the St. Christopher Children's Home is to continue making a difference in the lives of the children who are placed in the home. With the help of donations/gifts from supporters, such as your organization, we will continue to see improvements. Once again, thanks!!!!!”

SKNAH wants to say a BIG thank you to all those who supported this effort with your general donations and time. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and many blessings for the New Year.
