Press Release

BEAUMONT PARK, St.KIitts, Dec. 14, 2011 -- Beaumont Park concludes its 2011 racing season with “Christmas Comes Twice” this coming Sunday’s titled event, sponsored by icanbet.com, Carambola Beach Club, MASA, and Carib Brewery.

Premier Thoroughbred horse racing begins at 2:00pm. Gates will open at 12:00pm, in anticipation of a large turnout for the holiday celebration.  During the afternoon festivities, one lucky person will walk away with $15,000 ECD, truly making Christmas come twice!

In addition to the top prize, numerous gifts will be given away from raffle drawings, including a MASA family membership and initiation fee valued at $810 ECD, Carnival troupe packages and Carambola Beach Club voucher certificates.  You won’t want to miss one minute of the action!

Admission is FREE, and all it takes is a $20 ECD winning or losing bet to have a chance to win big! Please visit us at Beaumont Park Race Track on Facebook or our website http://www.beaumontpark.kn for Raffle Entry Rules.

The racing program will be highlighted by “The Beaumont Park Soca Monarch Trophy”, a four-furlong sprint for three-year-olds and upward. The featured race, which carries a purse of $10,000 ECD, has drawn a field of five highly competitive horses.

It will be carded as the fifth race on the program.  Looking to make amends from his first defeat in St. Kitts will be Emerald Racing Stables’ Boryenka, after having finished third in his last race on October 30th.  In that same race, Centennial Racing Stables’ Murray’s Mazal finished second behind Movado. Murray’s Mazal is the current track record holder at the four-furlong distance.

It will however be no giveaway.  Chief Rocker Stables’ Mr. Big Stuff will surely make his presence known after finishing a nice third to Tizbig.  Mr. Big Stuff finished second to Murray’s Mazal back on July 3rd, in Murray Mazal’s track record performance.  Rounding out the field and yet not to be counted out will be Jack Idle and Al Portador.  Both steeds are multiple winners over this Dieppe Bay racing surface.  It promises to be a battle to the finish!

But that’s not all!  Besides the five exciting Thoroughbred horse races, a stellar line-up of talent and entertainment includes Grand Masters Band, Beaumont Park Groovy and Power Soca Monarch Finalists, DJ Ronnie Rascal, The Beaumont Girls, De Mansion Bull, De Iron Ban’, Sylvester’s Masquerade Troupe and Carnival Grand Parade and J’Ouvert Troupes.  As a special feature, the St. Kitts Trophy victors from the recent Caribbean Nations Racing Challenge at Santa Rosa Park in Trinidad are scheduled to parade in the paddock and on the track after the third race of the program.

Also, the 2011 St. Kitts Winning Owner, Trainer, Jockey and the 2011 St. Kitts “Horse of the Year” will be announced and awards presented immediately following the fourth race.  It’s a day you won’t want to miss!  See you at the races!
